You will find Courtesy Taxis right in the heart of Norwich clubland. We are located on the Prince of Wales Road, just a 5 minute walk from the Norwich train station. Not only is this a prominent location, but our waiting room is also the largest in the country! Simply walk up the stairs, collect your ticket, sit back in one of our 50 seats in chocolate leather. Relax, perhaps grab a coffee, and wait for your number to be called out.
On Friday and Saturday nights, we will give you a numbered ticket for when your cab is ready. At peak times where the waiting times will be longer, there will be taxi marshals on hand to escort you to your vehicle to ensure a safe and pleasant experience. There are also door staff on site during peak times to oversee the operation. With CCTV running 24/7, safety is paramount and exclusive to our waiting room!
Our waiting room was made famous in October 2013 when Channel 4 decided to make a fly-on-the-wall documentary there. Nine cameras were set up in the waiting area, two in the control room, and six in various cars and minibuses. They were left running for 24 hours a day.
Drivers and passengers were interviewed and, before we knew it, local celebrities were born on ‘Up All Night – The Minicab Office.’ The hour long documentary received over 1.25 million viewers—not bad for the first time out!
